4th CBA/QUART conference: Multidisciplinary collaborations in Autism

This conference will focus on the contribution of professionals within multi-disciplinary teams (health and social care education) who implement evidence-based methods and teaching strategies of particular relevance for those with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD).

The key note speakers are distinguishing researchers who are members of professions allied to medicine and teaching.

Dr Javier Virues-Ortega: Clinical Psychologist and Senior Lecturer at the University of Auckland, New Zealand;

Bethan Mair Williams: Speech and Language Therapist who is also an honorary research fellow and occasional lecturer at Bangor University, Wales;

Professor Hanns-Rudiger Rottgers: Psychiatrist and director of Munster Autism Early Intervention project, Germany;

Sarah Devlin: Behaviour Therapist and specialist teacher at Middletown Centre for Autism, Co .Armagh and

Liam McDermott: Nurse Practitioner and senior Behaviour Therapist, Western Health and Social Care Trust.

In addition, a call for papers will be widely circulated to invite contributions from institutions and organisations within Education and health and Social Care sectors as well as autism charities and other voluntary groups.

The Conference will be of interest to professionals from a wide variety of disciplines as well as individuals with autism, their parents and carers.  It will be free to delegates; coffee/tea(x20 and lunch will be provided.
