Locality Planning Group Members Survey

As many of you will be aware in 2018 CYPSP started to carry out the first survey of our Locality Planning Group members, with the plan to make it a biennial survey. The response to 2018 survey was fantastic, and gave us lots of feedback on the LPG process, which the members of the Partnership and Outcomes Group found really useful. The info graphics of the responses are available on the website .

We had hoped to carry out this year’s survey in March but with the circumstances at the time decided it was best to hold it back until now.

It would be great if you could spare a few minutes out of your time to click on the link below and complete the survey. https://www.surveymonkey.co.uk/r/VYYF7F7

The survey will be open until 26 August.

If you have any queries about the survey or have any issues with the link please do not hesitate to get in contact with una.casey@hscni.net

Tooth fairy shares dental tips in Keady

Tooth fairy shares dental tips in Keady

October 2013

A series of tooth fairy events are being held across the Southern Outcomes Group area. The first of these events was held on 1 October in Keady. The Tooth Fairy joined children, young people and their families to share dental tips and to highlight the importance of regular visits to the dentist at a dental information event. The event, organised by Arke Sure Start and the Children and Young Peoples’ Partnership (CYPSP) Armagh Locality development officer, aimed to raise awareness of the importance of good oral health and encourage local families to attend the dentist regularly.

A local hygienist from Keady dental Practice and a Dietician from Arke Sure Start were on hand to give advice on how to prevent tooth decay, care for teeth and gums, the sugar content in food and drinks and ideas for healthy snacks.  Also, there was a puppet show and storytelling sessions to help children and young people understand why they need to look after their teeth and gums. .

Monitoring reports Updated

CYPSP locality outcome monitoring reports

All of our locality outcome monitoring reports have recently been updated and added to the website. These reports show how children and young people across each Outcomes area are doing in relation to the Government’s six high level outcomes and covers the period 2006 up to 2012 where the information is available.

It can already be seen from the trends over time that some indicators show that our children are doing well but others are worrying. Each report presents the information collected against agreed indicators for each outcome, providing analysis against NI averages over time and comparison across ward areas. Reports will be kept as live documents under the publications page, with information being updated as it becomes available.
