Female GRIT-REY Programme

The Next Female GRIT-REY programme challenge week takes place from Mon 29th February – Fri 4th March 2016 (for Females). GRIT-REY is a fantastic opportunity for young people aged 16-20 to take ‘time out’ coming on a GRIT Residential where they can assess their lives and review the choices to create a sustainable future. The uniqueness of this programme is that the challenge week is a starting point to support the young person over an extended period of time

Places for our next Female GRIT-REY programme are now available for booking.

If you have any young people( female) in your organisation that you would like to avail of the opportunity to take part on our next GRIT-REY Selection Day (a fun filled day) which will take place on Tuesday 23rd  February please email me names by return email.  As places for our next GRIT REY Residential are limited, Allocation is on a first come – first serve basis.

In order to facilitate arrangements, it would be useful if you could indicate number of places needed, I will then confirm and forward booking forms.

There is no cost to young person or referring organization, we are funded by BIG Lottery.. All transport is arranged.

GRIT-REY is a unique extended programme that may be suitable and beneficial for some of your young female clients. The initiative targets young people who are at a crossroads in their lives to re-engage with education, employment or training. On completion of the challenge week they will be appointed a mentor who will support them on a monthly basis over the following 6 month period to proactively address any barriers to actively participate in employability activities. We will work with providers to ensure the young people are signposted to and supported to access the provision to maximise their potential. It is hoped this will foster good partnerships to serve in the best interests of the young people.

Don’t forget to ensure that you have places booked for your young people (females) on our GRIT-REY Selection Day by contacting me.

I would like to discuss the programme in more detail over the coming weeks. It would be useful if you would send me through details of the best person to contact. If there are any other organisations you feel would be interested, let me know and I will contact.

Male programme is also enrolling for January 2016.
