Dad Factor Workshops

The Dad Factor workshop reflects on the key messages contained in the Dads Direct briefing paper, launched in November 2015. Practitioners will explore the role of fathers, the challenges fathers face and how they can influence policies and practice to ensure fathers are supported to be actively engaged in their child’s life. Session details below:

Derry/Londonderry: Wednesday 20th July, 10am to 1pm

Belfast:  Wednesday 27th July, 10am to 1pm — £35 per person

Belfast Outdoor Play Sessions

Belfast Come and Play Programme 2016Belfast City Council is hosting a series of outdoor play sessions for parents and their children aged 0-4 years across June 2016 at North Queen Street Playground. Activities include physical activities, dress up, art, messy play etc.

Funding Announcement Small Grants Scheme 2016-2017

The Public Health Agency (PHA) has identified funding for a small grants scheme to address the themes of Mental Health & Emotional Well-Being, Suicide Prevention and Self- Harm, and have commissioned CLEAR to facilitate this process. The Public Health Agency are keen to fund programmes founded on evidence based practice with a particular focus on those using one or more of the ‘Take 5’ Steps to Wellbeing.

The PHA are inviting community and voluntary sector organisations within Western, Belfast, Southern & South Eastern Areas, through the CLEAR Project, to apply for non-recurring small grants to address the outlined themes.

Two types of awards are available under this scheme. Award one grants of up to £1,000 that non-constituted and constituted non-profit taking Community / Voluntary Sector groups can apply for and Award two grants of between £1,001 and to a maximum of £5,000 for constituted, non-profit taking Community / Voluntary sector groups.

Consultation on the draft Programme for Government Framework 2016-21
A consultation on the draft Programme for Government (PfG) Framework 2016-21 was launched on Friday 27 May.
