Colour My World TBUC Programme

The Education Authority, (Southern Region), Youth Service Inclusion Team (Dungannon, Armagh, Newry & Mourne Division), are recruiting 60 young people aged 14 – 17 years old, to participate in a project.

The project will explore identity, culture, traditions and provide opportunities for young people to take part in shared experiences in a fun and creative way.  We will be exploring ways of tackling intolerance and working together to shape a more cohesive and shared society.

We wish to recruit 20 young people from the Dungannon, Armagh, Newry & Mourne area to participate in the project.  We would ask for your support in helping us identify young people who are willing to find out about each other, explore similarities and differences and work to develop their skills in Debating and Decision making, Participation, Advocacy, Listening, Self-Management, and Inclusion.

Colour My World TBUC programme includes:

  • Saturday 19 September 2015 – Team Building Away Day – Mourne Park, Kilkeel
  • Monday 26 – Thursday 29 October 2015 – Residential Experience – Corrymeela, Ballycastle
  • Saturday 5 December 2015 – Impact of Hate Crime workshop & Cultural Experience day – Belfast
  • Saturday 12 December 2015 – Prize giving & Celebration of Culture Evening – Armagh City Hotel

The cost is £40; this will include all transport to and from activities, accommodation and meals throughout the duration of the project.
