Every 10 years we collect information about everyone in Northern Ireland. We do this by asking some questions about you and your family, where you live and where you work. This is called a census
Your answers are very important and are completely confidential. Your personal information will never be shared with any other government organisations.
There is a wide and diverse range of BAME communities living in Northern Ireland and we want to make sure that everyone is counted.
Your answers will be used to help make decisions about
Schools; Housing; Hospitals and other services we need.
It helps community groups to apply for funding so that they can provide the resources needed by BAME communities.
Census day will be on March 21st, but you will receive a letter with your code in the post from the beginning of March 2021. As soon as you get this letter you can fill in the census. Your Census form must be completed in English
We have language support available in 17 languages: Get Involved: Information Leaflets – Helping everyone take part in Census 2021
Our Language Line number is 0800 587 2021 where you can get assistance in up to 50 languages.
