Survey on Emotional Well-being Services to Support Children with Disabilities

The total number of children and young people with a disability in Northern Ireland is unknown however a number of children with a disability will have complex health care needs and a range of other traumas, complicated by communication difficulties.

The CYPSP Regional Sub-Groups for Children with Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties and Children with a Disability have jointly agreed to review existing services that are currently available in Northern Ireland to support the emotional well-being and mental health of children and young people with a disability.

A short survey is now available to community, voluntary and statutory service providers to complete. The findings from the survey responses will assist both sub groups with needs assessment and future planning and commissioning of services.
