Tooth Fairy Event in TMAC Centre, Keady – 3rd March 2016

The Armagh LPG in partnership with ArKe Sure Start will host a Tooth Fairy Event in the TMAC Centre in Keady on Thursday, 3 March 2016 from 10.30 am – 12 noon.

Information will be provided on Tooth Decay, Good Oral Hygiene and Tooth Brushing and activities will include Arts and Crafts, Story Telling and a visit by the Tooth Fairy.

The Incredible Years Parenting Programme 7th April – 30th June 2016 (Open to Families within Belfast Area)

Barnardo’s will be delivering the Incredible Years Parenting Programme – Promoting Positive Behaviours for Primary Aged Children.  This programme is only open to families within the Belfast area.

The programme is designed to strengthen parenting skills, prevent and treat behaviour problems in children.  Topics Covered –                                

  • Strengthening Children’s Social Skills, Emotional Regulation, and School Readiness Skills
  • Using Praise and Incentives to Encourage Cooperative Behaviours
  • Household Rules, Routines, and Effective Limit Setting
  • Positive Discipline, Handling Misbehaviour

Advocating on behalf of Children in Need – A Children’s Rights Perspective

Training Seminar:- This seminar is relevant to both members of the legal profession and agencies working with or on behalf of ‘children in need’. The seminar will consider:

  • The rights of ‘children in need’ in domestic and international law with reference to relevant case law
  • Duties to provide services for ‘children in need’ under the Children (NI) Order 1995
  • Protecting the equality rights of ‘children in need’
