New Monitoring Profile for Children, Young People and Offending

February 2014

Regional Subgroup for Children, Young People and Offending has developed a new monitoring report for offending behaviour in Northern Ireland. Using information shared by Police Service Northern Ireland (PSNI), this report details offending behaviour of young people across each police district in Northern Ireland. The report provides both a regional overview of offending; by type of offence and police district; and further analysis by police district, age and gender.

Outcomes Training

November 2013

The CYPSP delivered outcomes training to a number of organisations from the community, voluntary and statutory sectors this month. The training was influenced by Mark Friedman’s Outcomes Based Accountability Model and the Theory of outcomes based practice. Participants were encouraged to develop monitoring and evaluation tools within their own organisations and to apply indicators to demonstrate how outcomes are being achieved. Monitoring reports Updated

CYPSP locality outcome monitoring reports

All of our locality outcome monitoring reports have recently been updated and added to the website. These reports show how children and young people across each Outcomes area are doing in relation to the Government’s six high level outcomes and covers the period 2006 up to 2012 where the information is available.

It can already be seen from the trends over time that some indicators show that our children are doing well but others are worrying. Each report presents the information collected against agreed indicators for each outcome, providing analysis against NI averages over time and comparison across ward areas. Reports will be kept as live documents under the publications page, with information being updated as it becomes available.
