Free SafeTALK Training – Foyle & East Belfast (20 November 2025)

Action Mental Health- OUR Generation team are delighted to be running two FREE community safeTALK training sessions on Wednesday, 20th November – one in Derry/Londonderry and the other in East Belfast.

This half-day training is open to anyone aged 18+ who works or volunteers with children, young people, or young adults in community or school settings.

safeTALK equips participants with the skills to:

  • Recognise signs of suicidal thoughts
  • Confidently start a conversation
  • Connect individuals at risk with appropriate support

 

Spaces are limited, so early registration is encouraged.

 

Emotionally Based School Avoidance Parent Group – Southern Trust Area

Are you a parent or carer in the Southern Trust area supporting a child experiencing emotionally based school avoidance?

Join this supportive online session to connect with others who understand the challenges.

 Date: Tuesday 30th September 2025
 Time: 7 – 8pm
 Venue: Online via Zoom
 Hosted by: The Parent Participation Service

Connect North Library Drop in Sessions September & October 2025 (Northern HSC Trust Area)

A number of Connect North Library Drop in’s are being held across the Northern Health and Social Care Trust area in September and October.

This is an exciting opportunity that allows people to call into their local library to speak directly to a Connect North Link Worker for support with no appointment needed.

With GCSE results recently released, we understand that some young people may be feeling lost or confused, especially if they haven’t achieved the results they were hoping for or are finding it difficult to re-enter school. This can be a challenging and uncertain time for many.

Bryson, offer a range of courses through their Skills for Life and Work programme that can provide a positive alternative and support young people in taking their next steps into education and employment.
