This is our second largest ever edition of ‘FYI’, so thank you so much for submitting so much great information and keep it coming! We keep submissions in ‘FY’I for one edition, unless requested, so please let us know if you want to avail of this opportunity.

We are delighted to include our Action Plan Report on Page 3 which tells you how productive our Locality Planning Groups and our Team has been over the last 3 years. During this time, we were still experiencing the impact of COVID, so our outcomes have been remarkable in such challenging times.

Plenty of information – Why don’t you come to one of our Locality Planning Groups to see what more there is to offer in the Southern Area?! Contact us at localityplanning@ci-ni.org.uk for further information.

Southern Area LPGs 2021-24 Action Plan

The Southern Area Locality Planning Team have produced our Final Report from our 2021-24 Action Plan.

This evidences our work with all 6 Locality Planning Groups: Our priorities, actions and outcomes, with links to all of our report scorecards and resources produced.

Another busy and challenging 3 years, but an excellent example of partnership work by all organisations involved!

At the end of the document is a chart of all organisations and services who attended our meetings and worked together to improve outcomes for children and young people.

Western Area Autism Support Cafes

We are inviting adults, parents and carers of children and young people, who have:

  • ·         an autism diagnosis
  • ·         are awaiting an assessment
  • ·         are displaying early indicators ( suggesting their child may be Neurodiverse),

to attend our Autism Support Cafés with local support groups, information stalls and short workshops.

Download the 2024/25 Autism Cafe Booklet

These events are in partnership with statutory services and community and voluntary organisations who can support families on their autism journey.

Our aim is to bring together adults, parents, carers and organisations, to provide support and information on services available. We are hoping that those who attend will help us shape our plans for future events across the WHSCT, provide feedback, ideas and suggestions. This input will be extremely valuable in the co-design of our future Café’s.

  •  Tea & Coffee provided
  • Booking is not required.

Any further questions or if your organisation would like to host a stall please email ClaireA.Hamilton@westerntrust.hscni.net

Southern Area FYI Feedback Survey Report Card

The 2024 FYI Scorecard Report is part of the Southern Area Locality Planning Team’s ongoing monitoring and evaluation of our fortnightly e-bulletin, ‘FYI’.

It follows on from the same evaluation completed in June 2022 which can be accessed HERE.

‘FYI’ was introduced in January 2019 as an innovative new way of sharing information on the work of services and organisations aiming to improve outcomes for children, young people and families in the Southern Area.

With the aim of strengthening contacts, participation, engagements and connections in the area, Southern Area LPG member organisations, as well as the wider community, are invited to submit flyers, posters and announcements promoting relevant events, opportunities, programmes and initiatives. This information is collated and shared via a one-stop-shop style newsletter… ‘FYI’ (For Your Information).

This fortnightly e-bulletin is circulated on alternate Thursday afternoons to all LPG members and contacts on our specific ‘FYI’ list, to the community, voluntary and statutory sectors as well as those who have signed up to receive ‘FYI’ (parents and caregivers). It is also widely promoted across various CYPSP and LPG member social media channels and e-mail circulars.

To sign up to receive ‘FYI’, or to find out more about our fortnightly newsletter, e-mail localityplanning@ci-ni.org.uk.
