Summer has come and gone in the blink of an eye! Back to school and we hope we have been able to reflect the wide range of supports and opportunities available across the Southern Trust Area for children, young people and their families in this edition.

Our Locality Planning Groups have resumed meeting this morning in Armagh and will operate at full speed throughout the rest of the year. We welcome anyone working or volunteering to improve outcomes for children, young people & families and you will find our 2026 LPG Meetings Calendar on the page 3. We’ll be delighted to tell you more, if you are interested.

With summer coming towards a close, preparations for the next school year are under way and so there is lots of information on starting / back to school spread across this edition. As of today, it is also officially exam results season, so you will find details on various supports, resources & opportunities available to young people (and their families), as they look ahead to their next chapter.

We have a few weeks of summer left and there is still plenty going on across the Southern Trust Area for children, young people & families, so thank you to all those who submitted information on upcoming events, programmes and workshops for sharing.

This is one of two editions of ‘FYI’ which will circulate throughout the summer. Our next edition is on Thursday 13^th August, so please bear this in mind when sharing any of your flyers and information.

Pages 3 to 6 of this month’s issue include links to some Report Cards which have recently been produced to demonstrate/highlight the impact of just some of the projects which we, along with our members, have been involved in during the first half of 2026. Please take the time to read through the Scorecards and you might even see some familiar faces in the photos which are included!
