PHA ‘Feeling Anxious?’ Campaign

Mental health and emotional wellbeing were high on the agenda for discussion at today’s Dungannon LPG Meeting, so it was only fitting that we took some time out to raise awareness of the Public Health Agency (PHA) and Health and Social Care Trusts’ current ‘Feeling Anxious?’ Mental Health Awareness Campaign.

Running from 10th September to 10th October 2026, the ‘Feeling Anxious? Campaign highlights practical ways we can look after our mental health and encourages people to recognise when they may be feeling anxious and to find out what support is available to them in their local area.

Our Dungannon LPG members were keen to support the campaign and help amplify this important campaign.

By talking openly about mental health and sharing information about support, we can all play a part in helping people feel more comfortable reaching out when they need it.

Solihull Approach Two Day Early Years Foundation Programme Training

The Solihull Approach is an early intervention model that focuses on the importance of infant brain development and its relevance to infant mental health and child development.

The approach provides practitioners with:

A robust understanding based on neuroscience of the importance of the first three years and how to support infants/children to have the best start in life.
A theoretical framework for practitioners to reframe how to approach their work with children and families.

Dungannon Area Schools Networking Event – 23 October 2026

CYPSP invites school staff from across the Dungannon Area to attend an upcoming networking event focused on raising awareness of local support services for children, young people and families.

Local services will be in attendance, hosting information stalls and sharing details of the supports available to schools, pupils and families in the area.

Primary & Post-Primary School Staff are welcome to drop in at any time across the afternoon and light refreshments will be provided. Summer has come and gone in the blink of an eye! Back to school and we hope we have been able to reflect the wide range of supports and opportunities available across the Southern Trust Area for children, young people and their families in this edition.

Our Locality Planning Groups have resumed meeting this morning in Armagh and will operate at full speed throughout the rest of the year. We welcome anyone working or volunteering to improve outcomes for children, young people & families and you will find our 2026 LPG Meetings Calendar on the page 3. We’ll be delighted to tell you more, if you are interested.
