Action Plan and Priorities

Achievements

The CYPSP Armagh Locality Planning Group respond to the increasing number of young people in Northern Ireland who are falling victim to the dangers of social media. ‘Beat the CyberBully: Making Safer Online Choices’ was an event ran by CYPSP on 6 September to raise young people’s awareness of the importance of keeping safe online, protecting your reputation on social media sites and promoting positive use online.

Over 30 young people from schools and youth groups in the Armagh locality attended the event.

Speaking at the event Deputy Lord Mayor of Armagh, Councilor Gerard Paul White commented: “Events such as this are vital in tackling this major issue and it is important that all of the agencies work together to offer our young people advice and guidance on how to protect themselves against cyber bullying.”
