NEW Arabic Parent Support Telephone Service – Parentline NI

Parentline NI have an exciting new development!

From Wednesday 8 June 2022 through their helpline 0808 8020 400, they have telephone parent support available for parents/carers who speak Arabic.  New Parent support team members will be able to directly support parents/carers over the phone in Arabic on Wednesday mornings 10am-12pm.

Parents/carers can directly access this service by phoning at the specified time or phoning at any time and leaving a voicemail or by self-referral by emailing parentline@ci-ni.org.uk .

Look, Say, Sing Play: The NSPCC’s Behaviour Change Campaign

Look, Say, Sing Play: The NSPCC’s Behaviour Change Campaign

Tuesday 14th June 2022, 9.30 – 11.00 am

Attendees will be briefed on the NSPCC’s ‘Look, Say, Sing, Play’ (LSSP) behaviour change campaign, ahead of the launch in Northern Ireland later this year. LSSP is focused on improving interactions between parents and their babies, and is based on the serve and return metaphor, Alberta Family Wellness Project.

The seminar will provide the opportunity to hear about the research behind the campaign, the LSSP resources, activity posters, flashcards, and details on the learning emerging from the process evaluation which is being undertaken by the Institute of Health Visiting and the School of Education, Communication and Language Sciences at Newcastle University (report to be published summer 2022).
