Health and Wellbeing support for Armagh Families

Families in the Armagh area had the opportunity to explore a range of opportunities to improve the health and well-being of children and young people recently at a Family Fun and Information Event in the new TMAC Centre, Keady.

The event, which was organised by the Armagh Locality Planning Group, saw organisations such as ArKe Sure Start, Home-Start, Policing and Community Safety Partnership, MARA project, PSNI, Fire Service, Employers for Childcare and the Southern Health and Social Care Trust set up information stalls to promote their services.

Children attending with their parents were kept busy with activities such as balloon modelling, dancing, story-telling and face-painting.

Annie Clarke, Children and Young People’s Strategic Partnership (CYPSP) said, “This event aims to raise awareness among the local community of the support services that are available and I hope it helps local families understand what help is available, should they need it.”

The Children and Young People’s Strategic Partnership (CYPSP), led by the Health and Social Care Board, is a multi-agency partnership that includes the leadership of key statutory agencies and community and voluntary organisations that have a responsibility for improving the lives of children and young people in Northern Ireland.
