An information event, facilitated by North Belfast Partnership, was held in North Belfast on 6th November 2012 to inform organisations working with children, young people and families in the area about the work of the CYPSP, the purpose of Locality Planning Groups and an example of the experience of LPGs in other areas.   The event included round table discussions about gaps in services in North Belfast and what the membership of a Locality Group would look like.  A follow up information event was held on 2nd May 2013 which included a presentation from an existing urban Locality Planning Group and a presentation about the linkages to the Belfast Area Outcomes Group.

The First North Belfast Locality Planning Group meeting was held on 18th November 2013.  There has been great interest in the CYPSP Locality Planning process in North Belfast and the meetings have been well attended by the statutory, voluntary and community sectors from across North Belfast.  The Locality Planning Group has open membership so anyone working with children, young people and families can come along.  If you would like to receive further information about the Locality Planning Group please contact Charlene.Mitchell@belfasttrust.hscni.net
