Nutrition Matters Flyer 

Nutrition Matters aims to equip early years (0-5) childcare providers with information on how to provide healthy and nutritious foods in their setting.

It is commissioned by the Public Health Agency and training delivered by the Public Health Dietitians Group.

Nutrition Matters training and supporting resources are currently being reviewed and updated.  

We would be grateful for 5 minutes of your time to complete this survey to help guide this process and make sure the new training and resources are right to support you!

Open to anyone providing childcare or preparing meals in a childcare setting (ie not by parents/guardians) – you do not need to have attended Nutrition Matters training to enter.

We are currently identifying actions for our 6 Locality Planning Groups for the next year and have included a brief overview of how this fits in with the CYPSP structure on a local and regional level on the opening pages of this edition. Anyone wishing to contribute to our actions are welcome to contact us to find out how you can become involved.

Your Health Event in collaboration between Glaucoma UK, Bomoko NI and the Stronger Together Network

The event is on Wednesday, October 15, 2025, from 10 am to 2 pm at LORAG, 97 Balfour Avenue, Belfast. It features health awareness talks, information stalls, gym sessions, African food, live entertainment, and fun activities. Topics include physical, mental, and sexual health, cancer and diabetes risk, and eye and hearing health. Logos of Glaucoma UK, Stronger Together Network NI, and BOMOKO NI are included. A QR code and registration link are provided.

A Health & Wellbeing event called Your Health is taking place in collaboration between Glaucoma UK, Bomoko NI and the Stronger Together Network on Wednesday 15 October 2025 10-2pm at Lorag 97 Balfour Avenue Belfast BT7 2EW.  

 

The Your Health event will bring together a range of organisations that specialise in health and wellbeing, particularly health conditions to which people from African & Caribbean heritage are at greater risk of. It is hoped that through this event it will help to demystify health issues, raise awareness and promote health education within the community.
